Different Types Of Health

Concepts and definitions of health and health-related values vary across the world. In general, healthy types include the following types 

1. What is public health? 

According to the 2021 study, public health is a broad term for wellness that “focuses on improving the health of a [public] group by improving the health of individuals through different methods”, such as prevention and treatment, monitoring. which is different around, etc. Under public health, we include physical, mental, spiritual, social, intellectual, occupational and environmental health. 

2. What is physical health?

Physical health refers to the state of being healthy and free from physical disease or injury. It affects your ability to carry out daily activities, work and exercise without any hindrance. It can be managed by:

  • Medicines, etc.

3. What is mental health?

Mental health refers to a person’s mental, emotional, behavioral and intellectual well-being. The term is often used to indicate mental disorders, such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, etc. It can be managed by: 

  • Treatment 
  • Medicine 
  • Personal care 
  • Brain training game 
  • Rest system 
  • Conceptual planning, etc.

4. What Is Spiritual Health? 

Spiritual health is health and wellness associated with a person’s spirit. It involves finding purpose and peace in your life and improving your life and society. This is not limited to your religion or your participation in a religious community.

5. What is social health?

Social health is a person’s ability to connect with others, have good relationships with others, and contribute effectively to their community. This includes: 

  • Make strong relationships 
  • Develop skills such as communication and conflict management 
  • Prevent social problems, etc.

6. What is intellectual health?

By intellectual health, we mean a state of mind in which a person is open to new ideas, experiences, new skills and increased creativity. It allows you to deal with the normal stresses of life and improve and challenge yourself on an intellectual and productive level. Examples include: 

  • Be a thinker 
  • Develop skills such as decision making, time management, etc.

7. What is occupational health?

WHO defines occupational health as the quality of “promoting and maintaining the highest physical, mental and emotional health of workers in all occupations.” Its medical services include: 

  • The welfare of the workers 
  • Test before installation 
  • Ergonomics 
  • Occupational therapy and medicine 

8. What is environmental health? 

Environmental health refers to the parts of your natural and built environment that affect your health and well-being. The 2019 study lists important public health services, including: 

  • Monitoring air quality, water quality, etc. 
  • Manage health and energy resources 
  • Fight against climate change, etc.
